Asp net listview itemupdating not firing
By binding data with data source control we can get it's built in advantage such as paging data, sorting data, inserting, deleting and editing data.List View Data Source property allow us to data bind with many objects such as ADO. But if you use Data Source property, you need to write code for paging, sorting, editing etc functionality. NET developers to display data as individual items or in groups. List View templates similar as Data List and Repeater control.The Item Updating event is raised when an item's Update button is clicked or the Update Item method is called, but before the List View control updates the item.(An Update button is a button control whose Command Name property is set to "Update".) This enables you to perform a custom routine whenever this event occurs, such as canceling the update operation.Our Selected Index Changed Event may look something like this: If you put a break on the last line of the code and step through the code, you will notice that the "Selected Index Changed" event fires not once but TWICE!
